There are many actors out there who claim they have become the people they play. I’m not sure if this is a coping mechanism or a source of pride. If it is a coping mechanism, then it seems to be working for them. If it is a source of pride, then it is also working for them. Either way, I like to think of it as a way to distinguish between real and fake actors.
